In the Miami
Herald, Vice President Mike Pence writes about his
trip last week to represent the United States at the Eighth
Summit of the Americas in Peru. “My message there was simple:
Now is the time for the nations of the Western Hemisphere to
realize our destiny and truly become a ‘Hemisphere of
Freedom.’” Echoing President Donald J. Trump’s remarks
last year in Miami, the Vice President adds that America “wins
when the people of each country in our region ‘can live out
their own dreams’ in freedom.”
