Earlier this month, I
proclaimed May as National
Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and today I look forward
to welcoming young Americans from around the country to
Washington, D.C. for the White
House Sports and Fitness Day. As part of this exciting
event to promote healthy and active lifestyles, the President’s
Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition will facilitate
activity stations for a variety of youth sports on the South
Lawn.
In recent years, America
has seen a decline in youth sports participation, particularly
among young girls and children from economically distressed
areas. Involvement in both team and individual sports offers
countless benefits to children, improving both their physical
and mental well-being. My Administration is committed to
investing
in a healthier and stronger America.
Thank you again for
taking the time to write.
Sincerely,
Donald Trump
