Yesterday,
I was proud to be at Fort Drum in New York to sign into law H.R.
5515, the “John McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)
for Fiscal Year 2019.” This important legislation authorizes
$717 billion to fund our Nation’s Armed Forces, enhance our
military might, and ensure our readiness.
No
fighting force rivals that of the United States Military. The
precious liberties we all enjoy as American citizens are possible
because the men and women of our Armed Forces relentlessly and
tirelessly carry out their critical mission of defending freedom.
I
encourage you to watch
yesterday's signing ceremony.
