I
appreciate you taking the time to send me an email. On September
11, we honor the memories of the nearly 3,000 precious lives we
lost 17 years ago, and all of the heroes who have given their
lives since that day to protect our safety and our freedom.
Earlier
today, the First Lady and I visited the Flight 93 National
Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to pay our respects to the
40 passengers and crew who heroically sacrificed their lives to
prevent further acts of terror on that fateful day. Their actions
gave us hope and helped to sustain us in the days of healing that
followed.
The
abhorrent acts of terrorism committed in New York, Virginia, and
Pennsylvania were more than just attacks on our homeland—they
were attacks on our democracy. United by our courage and grit, the
resolve of the American people helped us rebuild and recover.
Today, we remember the thousands of lives lost on September 11,
2001, and salute the first responders, firefighters, police
officers, and our men and women in uniform for their courageous
service and incredible sacrifice on that mournful day.
May
God bless the United States of America.
Sincerely,
Donald Trump |
