June 30, 2018 I appreciate you taking the time to send me an email. On December 22, 2017, I was proud to sign into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. As we celebrate the six month anniversary of the largest tax cuts in our Nation’s history, I am proud to share some of the incredible results of this historic legislation: More than 6 million hardworking American taxpayers have received bonuses, pay raises, and increased benefits. 3.4 million jobs have been added to the economy since I was elected to office. The legislation doubled the standard deduction, doubled the child tax credit, protected savings for college and retirement, and lowered rates across the board. By eliminating dozens of special interest tax breaks and loopholes, the law raised $4 trillion in revenue to help offset tax cuts. Across the country, millions of Americans are keeping more of their hard-earned income.
