Bei Selenskyjs Besuch in den Vereinigten Staaten Ende August erhielt er von Präsident Biden keine Unterstützung für den Bruch der Minsker Vereinbarungen oder für die Rückeroberung der Halbinsel Krim.

Infolgedessen versucht Selenskyj, die Donbass-Region mit militärischer Gewalt zurückzuerobern. Eine im April 2021 in der Türkei gekaufte Militärdrohne wurde für Aufklärungsflüge in der Donbass-Region eingesetzt.

Ende Oktober sprengte die Drohne auch eine militante Haubitze der Separatisten in der Nähe der Stadt Donezk.

Die Ukraine plant, weitere Militärdrohnen aus der Türkei zu kaufen. Russland hat seine Ansicht bekräftigt, dass jede militärische „Provokation“ gegen separatistische Gruppen im Donbass schwerwiegende Folgen für den gesamten ukrainischen Staat haben wird.

Tage nach der Drohnenaufklärung und dem Angriff setzte die russische Armee Panzer nahe der ukrainischen Grenze ein. Am 7. November 2021 hatte sich mindestens ein Panzerbataillon versammelt. Schließlich werden über 100.000 Soldaten versammelt.

Die USA haben daraus eine aggressive Haltung gegenüber der Ukraine gemacht und Russland wegen einer „Invasion“ der Ukraine „abgestempelt“. Erstens hat Präsident Putin einfach das Militär versammelt, um Drohnenangriffe aus der Ukraine als Kontrolle abzuwehren.

Während die Vereinigten Staaten Aufhebens machten, sprang Präsident Putin auf den fahrenden Zug auf und konfrontierte die Vereinigten Staaten mit der von ihm seit langem geforderten Aussetzung der Nato-Osterweiterung. L'administration Zelensky, qui n'aimait pas cela, a travaillé dur pour renverser les accords de Minsk en 2021.

Lors de la visite de Zelensky aux États-Unis fin août, il n'a pas reçu le soutien du président Biden pour rompre les accords de Minsk ou pour reprendre la péninsule de Crimée.

En conséquence, Zelensky tente d'utiliser la force militaire pour reprendre la région du Donbass. Un drone militaire acheté à la Turquie en avril 2021 a été utilisé pour des vols de reconnaissance dans la région du Donbass.

Fin octobre, le drone a également fait exploser un obusier militant séparatiste près de la ville de Donetsk.

L'Ukraine prévoyait d'acheter plus de drones militaires à la Turquie. La Russie a renforcé son point de vue selon lequel toute "provocation" militaire contre des groupes séparatistes dans le Donbass aura de graves conséquences pour l'ensemble de l'État ukrainien.

Ainsi, quelques jours après la reconnaissance et l'attaque du drone, l'armée russe a déployé des chars près de la frontière ukrainienne. Le 7 novembre 2021, au moins un bataillon de chars s'était rassemblé. Finalement, plus de 100 000 soldats sont rassemblés.

Les États-Unis ont fait toute une histoire à ce sujet comme une attitude agressive envers l'Ukraine et ont « étiqueté » la Russie pour « invasion » de l'Ukraine. En premier lieu, le président Poutine a simplement rassemblé l'armée pour contrer les attaques de drones en provenance d'Ukraine en guise de contrôle.

Alors que les États-Unis faisaient des histoires, le président Poutine a pris le train en marche et a confronté les États-Unis à la suspension de l'expansion de l'OTAN vers l'est, ce qu'il réclamait depuis longtemps. En décembre 2021, la Russie a émis une condition selon laquelle elle « retirerait ses troupes s'il était écrit qu'elle n'étendrait pas l'OTAN à l'est » (selon un traité international).

En janvier 2022, les États-Unis et l'OTAN ont entamé des négociations pour rapprocher la Russie. Mais Zelensky, craignant que les choses ne se décident en l'absence de l'Ukraine, a cherché à négocier directement avec la Russie, il a mis un frein aux "pourparlers presque convenus" entre "US-OTAN" et la Russie.
