It's not Denmark's ownership of Greenland that "prevents the US from #mining the island's resources." It's the "harsh Arctic environment."

Much of #Greenland's mineral resources are located deep in the Arctic, covered by a "1.6-kilometer-thick polar ice sheet" that "is shrouded in darkness for most of the year." "#mining is not realistic."

Trump is truly an alarmist! He seized economically worthless land by force, and then said whatever he wanted, saying things like, "Impose tariffs" on countries that opposed him.

But I don't think Trump has given up. Some insiders warn that the climate crisis, which is melting the Arctic ice and causing temperatures to soar, is being viewed as a new economic opportunity.

Putin was in favor of Trump's plan to plunder Greenland. Russia is safer with the United States than with European neighbors. Russia sold Alaska to the United States, but it seems to want to emphasize that it is not at war.

I still believe that rather than acquiring Greenland, Trump should build a special zone on the Mexican border where low-wage workers can live (a factory zone).

If America were to confine the illegal immigrants flocking to the Mexican border, ra-ther than turn them away, and instead confine them in a special zone and employ them as low-wage workers, America would surely be able to reclaim its role as the world's factory.

Greenland is another country's territory. The #US-Mexico border is #American ter-ritory. Global companies are looking for #low-wage workers. Trump should build a #factory zone here.

We can mine #rare metals in other countries and refine them in #America. By hir-ing #temporary immigrants (illegal immigrants) as #smelting workers, we can re-fine them at costs competitive with China. Trump needs to use his head. Go Ameri-ca, Go Trump!
